Top 5 apps for car detailing studios in 2026

A car detailing studio needs to receive bookings, identify customers and their vehicles, organise services and check what happened during each visit. We compared five apps that help manage these tasks to understand what each one allows you to do and explain why we recommend detailmasters for a studio's work and its customers.

The 5 apps

  1. detailmasters CRM is software built from the ground up for detailing studios. A studio can create its booking page, configure services and extras, and set prices according to vehicle size. Detailers can save damage photos, track job status and consult booking communications. Customers can reuse saved vehicles and request services for several cars. The system is available on the web and in iOS and Android apps.
  2. Urable is management software for vehicle-care businesses. Studios can prepare quotes, issue invoices and save inspections with photos or video. In Virtual Shop, Urable's booking page, customers choose services and extras; the studio configures the capacity and resources needed to take on those jobs. The limitation is access to features: online booking is only included from Pro, while video inspections and customisable workflows require Enterprise. A studio wanting all these functions needs the most comprehensive plan.
  3. Mobile Tech RX is an app for automotive service businesses, including detailing. Detailers can identify a vehicle by scanning its VIN, the vehicle identification number, prepare a quote and record damage photos. Customer and vehicle details remain saved for future visits. For studios offering several types of work, the limitation is that the entry plan includes only one service module: detailing or paint protection film installation, for example, but not both on that plan. There is also a charge per additional user, increasing the monthly cost as the team grows.
  4. OrbisX is a management system for detailing and other automotive professionals. It supports bookings, inventory organisation, expense tracking, job allocation and access to customers' message and call history. Its drawback is the setup of external communication channels. To send SMS through the Twilio integration, the studio must create an account with that provider, obtain or transfer a number and connect the account to OrbisX. This adds setup and communication-service costs for the owner to manage alongside the CRM subscription.
  5. fieldd is management software for businesses working at a fixed location or at customers' premises. It supports bookings, job allocation based on technicians' locations and skills, and access to vehicles, photos and customer history. The limitation is what remains reserved for higher plans: a studio-branded customer app requires Scale; a branded team app and management of multiple locations require Pro. A business wanting those options needs a higher plan, even if it does not need the other features included.

Why we recommend detailmasters

Our choice is detailmasters because it brings together service setup, customer booking and the records a detailer needs during a job. The studio defines what it sells; the customer chooses work for their vehicle; the team receives that request and adds photos and visit communications. This connection keeps information available to the person preparing the work, the person carrying it out and the person handing the car back.

What a studio can do in detailmasters

  • The studio owner can configure price ranges, vehicle-size pricing and durations for services and extras. The customer reviews the selection and estimated price before submitting the request. When several cars are included, sizes and extras can vary by vehicle, within the studio's configured limit.
  • The team can use internal reminders to assign tasks, set dates and schedule recurrence. The assistant highlights requests awaiting a reply, services about to start and outstanding payments. Detailers can therefore identify what needs their attention from the studio's records.
  • A detailer can open a booking on a computer or phone and consult the customer, vehicle, services and photos. Saved information remains associated with that visit so another colleague can understand what was requested and what was recorded during the work.

Configure a service and an extra, go through booking as a customer and then check the request received by the team. Open the customer history too, to see how records remain accessible. Features depend on the chosen plan; this comparison presents the detailmasters team's recommendation for the needs described.
